Blood alcohol content calculator
Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) or blood alcohol concentration is a measure of alcohol in the blood as a percentage. It is calculated in grams per 100 mL of blood, so a BAC of 0.08 means your blood is 0.08% alcohol by volume. It takes 30-70 minutes for alcohol to get into the bloodstream after drinking, and a person's level of impairment from alcohol is directly connected to their BAC.
Formulas used to calculate BAC use sex assigned at birth. This is a limitation of the available science, and validated equations to calculate estimated BAC for people who are trans or non-binary have not been published.
